Showing off her hometown pride in a Boston tee, JoJo hits up Hyde Nightclub in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (August 31).

The 20-year-old musician will be hitting the road soon to go on tour with Joe Jonas and Jay Sean — but not before she releases her new single, “Disaster” — on iTunes Monday, September 6th.

JoJo told AOL Music, “I feel like more than ever with this album, I’m able to connect with each song and not just sing lyrics, but really feel them. I know that might sound corny, but I feel like it’s my responsibility as an artist and a songwriter to be honest in my performance and my delivery. It’s something that I take really seriously. I think that because I was able to co-write or write virtually every song on this album, I had no choice but to really connect, because it was my truth.”

Ready for an evening of top-notch entertainment, JoJo was spotted upon arrival to the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards earlier tonight (August 28).

The “Leave (Get Out)” songstress looked snazzy as she strolled the red carpet into Nokia Theater LA Live, wearing a sexy LBD.

Ready to make her break back into the music world, the 20-year-old revealed that her new single, "Disaster," is set for its radio debut this Monday (August 29).

As for what fans can expect from her latest track, Jojo telling The Grape Juice, "It's in the family [of 'Too Life Too Late,']" adding "it's a distant cousin...it's definitely an edgier cousin."
