Rahul Mahajan (Marathi: राहुल महाजन) is an Indian reality show entertainer. By his marriage to Dimpy Mahajan on reality television program Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega, both created history by being the first couple to marry on Indian reality television for a national audience.
He first came into the news when his father Pramod Mahajan was shot by Pravin Mahajan, Rahul Mahajan's uncle. His father died twelve days later from his wounds. Television footage showed him comforting his sister and mother and maintaining a stoic demeanour. There were rumours that Mahajan would be inducted into the BJP to follow his father's footsteps. Pramod Mahajan was very poor and worked as a school teacher before rising to power as a politician of BJP.
